FAQ

Q: What time does the race start?
A: Both days of events will begin at 8am. The 5k on Saturday, May 6th will be at the Port of Everett. The 10k and the half marathon on Sunday, May 7th, will start and finish at Rotary Park on Lowell-Snohomish River Road. 

All Saturday events will be at the Port of Everett: 1205 Craftsman Way #200, Everett, WA 98201
– 5K at 8:00am
– Expo from 10am to 4pm
– Pump Up Party from 5pm to 7pm

*The Saturday morning 5k will be at the Port of Everett, NOT Rotary Park.

Q: Are there many hills on course?
A: No, both courses (Saturday and Sunday) are flat. Many participants have set personal records or used this race for their first 10k or half marathon.
Q: Are strollers allowed? How about pets? 
A: Strollers are welcome, and the surfaces are suitable for strollers. Pets are not allowed on course. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and ask that you abide by our insurance requirements. Thank you. 
Q: Where will we park?
A: There are 200 parking passes for the Lowell Riverfront and Rotary Parks that are part of the VIP Package.  Otherwise, there is street parking in the Lowell neighborhood. There will also be a shuttle to and from the park from the host hotel.
Q: Is the Course USATF Certified and what does that mean?
A: Yes, the course is USATF Certified which means participants can utilize the time to qualify for other larger events such as the New York City Marathon. However, it is not eligible for a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Q: What sizes are the hoodies?

A: The hoodies (and race shirts) are female specific and range from XS to XXL. The exact measurements in inches for the hoodies are:

Q: Where will packet pickup be?
A: Packet pickup will be at the host hotel on Friday, May 5th, and Saturday, May 6th, after the 5k. We will announce exact times and dates as the race weekend approaches.
Q: I registered a while ago, but I have not received any communication from you about the event.
A: We will send out the participant e-mail with all event details on the Tuesday prior to the race.  This will go over parking, the race day schedule, and more.  Please make sure to follow the Snohomish Women’s Run on Facebook and also click that you are attending the Snohomish Women’s Run event.  This is the best way to keep up to date will all race information.
Q: I wasn’t present to receive my award.  Can you mail it to me?
A: You must be present to receive age group and overall winner awards. We do not mail out awards or t-shirts.
Q: When does the course close?
A: We will need to open up Lowell Snohomish River Road no later than 12:00pm or per the discretion of the Snohomish County Sheriff. That means you will need to be at mile 10 no later than four hours after the race starts, which averages to a 21-minute mile pace to complete the course in time.
Q: Are walkers allowed?
A: Yes! Walkers are allowed for the 10k.  Due to course limits for the half marathon, we suggest walkers keep to the 10K. 
Q: Do I get a finisher’s medal?
A: Yes! Everyone will receive a finisher’s medal.
Q: Will there be porta-potties on the course?
A: There will be porta-potties at the start/finish area along with two different locations on course.
Q: What will the weather be like?
A: Only time will tell, but the average high and low for Seattle in May is 65 degrees as a high and 48 degrees as a low, respectively.
Q: When does online registration close?
A: Online registration closes at midnight on the Friday prior to the race.
Q: What is in my race packet? 
A: Your race packet will contain your bib, timing chip, and swag.
Q: Can someone else pick up my packet?
A: Yes, however, they will need a copy of your Driver’s License or your written permission.
Q: Can I sign up day of race?
A: No. At this time, covid protocols require everyone to be pre-registered for the race.
Q: Can I pick up my race packet on day of race?
A: No. At this time, day of race packet pickup is not part of the governor’s guidelines for running events. 
Q: Is there a gear check?
A: Yes!  However, you will need to bring your own bag and we will provide you will a gear check tag.
